There is a place somewhere between art for everyone and art that is a specialism. There are very many layers in between. I'm stood in the Dark Arches in Leeds witnessing an event that is a hybrid between film and live art. And I have questions with this particular instance of art.
Is it art to witness two people copying what is on film, in essence adding little value to the audience experience?
Ripping paper from each others limbs, lying prone, watching the screen for further prompts of movement, whilst family and friends look on in bemusement. Perhaps my observation is subjective... And perhaps that is the point. Horses for courses. What is art for one, is questionable and incoherent for another.
